Refill Cap
The refill cap is a small yet essential component of a mud pump, used to seal the oil or lubrication reservoir opening. Its primary function is to allow easy access for adding or refilling lubrication oil, while preventing contamination, fluid leaks, or pressure loss within the crankcase or bearing housing.
Constructed from corrosion-resistant materials such as stainless steel or coated alloy, refill caps are designed to withstand harsh field environments, exposure to drilling fluids, and high vibration. Many designs include built-in breathers or gaskets to maintain internal cleanliness and pressure balance.
