L1122 470

The L1122 470 is a powerful and compact triplex mud pump, designed by FMC BEAN for high-efficiency drilling fluid circulation across various applications—horizontal directional drilling, core drilling, vertical drilling, and water well drilling. Built with a horizontal configuration and three pistons, it delivers a maximum flow rate of 284 liters per minute (61.9 GPM) and operates at pressures up to 69 bar (1000 psi).

Its stainless steel fluid cylinders are lined with ceramic inserts, significantly increasing durability and reducing service intervals, even under abrasive conditions. The pump uses Kevlar-reinforced pistons for heavy-duty applications, with optional high-strength rubber pistons available for different fluid types. Stainless steel disc valves ensure excellent resistance to wear from abrasive media.

With a piston diameter and stroke length of 2.75 inches (69.9 mm), the L1122 470 maintains steady performance under continuous duty at 900 RPM, while allowing intermittent use up to 1275 RPM. The pump’s mechanical efficiency reaches 85%, and it supports multiple pressure/flow configurations via interchangeable 2.25-inch cylinders from the 1118 model.

Designed for adaptability, the L1122 470 features a rugged cast iron valve block, a 3.6:1 internal gear ratio, and SAE C hydraulic motor mounts (2- or 4-bolt). It handles fluid temperatures from 0°F to 140°F, with optional operation up to 250°F. Suction and discharge ports measure 2.50" and 1.25" respectively. The lubrication system uses 1 gallon (3.7 L) of SAE 30 oil to ensure smooth, reliable operation.
